Great place to buy unique gifts from Alaska.
Fun place to go! Lots of parking. Next to Ship Creek. Looks like new public restrooms are being finished. Lots of great gifts, locally made items, and souvenirs. Tons of Ulus and we could even watch them make them.
If you are cruising up the Alaskan coast don’t be fooled by some of the ulu knife and bowl sets you’ll see in many shops. Some look authentic but they are cheap knock offs made in Asia. When we got to hotel in Anchorage we were pleasantly surprised that beside our hotel was the Ulu Factory. They had a great selection to choose from and ranges from very affordable to a little pricey for very unique designed handle made of different materials including antler.
