I was shocked at how filthy the fairly new hospital was. Every toilet was terrible, floors covered in dirt, cafe tables unwiped. Even the lift was gross. The ladies cleaning the floor just swished the mop around, missing half the floor. Infection control used to be important but doesn’t seem a priority at all here. There is no way other staff and management can’t see this as it is incredibly obvious with greasy wipe marks everywhere touched and the old spray marks showing the areas missed.

Terrible location not enough doctors only one road going in and out and that one road floods So they should move locations somewhere better 🤬

Since my husband Des was admitted to the Tweed Valley Hospital via emergency last Tuesday & since moved to GEM ward we have been treated with overwhelming kindness & support. . My heartfelt thanks to each & all of the staff & doctors who helped me to understand & guide me through a very challenging time. - I’m ever so grateful Thank you - Lyn F

I took my mother for a pre admission appointment on the 2nd of march we had no idea where we were going and the lovely lady in the golf buggy took us to where we needed to be !!! Once inside the staff and volunteers couldn’t have been more helpful x

Had our 11yo daughter at ED late at night, exceptional! Admission nurse joked with us while doing her vitals, putting us both at ease, even trying to land thermometer cover in the bin from across the room. Didn't have to wait long to see Dr Bari, who was thorough and engaging, including engaging his supervisor when things weren't clear and coming to see us as his shift was finishing.
