Don’t recommend unless absolutely necessary!! After visiting and being diagnosed with pneumonia and sent home i called ED the next day to ask a question re a work certificate only to be told by an extremely unprofessional and uninterested nurse that if i wanted any information i had to go back and triage again. I understand there are procedures but where did care or compassion go ? I asked for an estimate of how long i should take off work and was told “ i don’t know , a couple of days maybe” Seriously? Oh I was so overjoyed with my stay in the hospital. The experience was first class. Everybody was so enthusiastic and enjoying their work. Everything was going to schedule and plan even the meals. I love most staying in there for two days. It was the best experience I’ve ever had in my life and I’m 87 years old. I would recommend this hospital that it is the best in the world.
In all my years as a carer and visiting many hospitals in Australia and UK this last 2 weeks visiting Tweed Valley Hospital has been the worst experience I have ever had in a medical facility. I feel sorry for the staff who are actually doing a great job and are kind compassionate people trying to do their best in a challenging profession. I commend them. As for the rest of them ....well its not supposed to be a school yard! For the rest and the management I would suggest a time and management study and full over haul of you... read more
Hospital itself-great. Parking is an absolute joke, missed the mark on that essential ingredient!!!
I came here at 6pm with pain I’ve never experienced before from a 5mm kidney stone. Because of the pain I was seen pretty much straight away and admitted with the possibility of having surgery. The staff were amazing from start to finish. I am from Sydney and the contrast in patient care was very noticeable. The pain management last night was perfect and constantly asking how I was showed a care that is sadly lacking in many hospitals today.
