We traveled to Franklin in 2023 over thanksgiving. We ate here twice and have regarded it as our favorite restaurant we’ve ever been to since. Phenomenal fried chicken, interesting and intentional flavors throughout a clearly curated small menu. Thank you!
This place is such a gem in downtown Franklin! The aesthetics are beautiful, and it’s a wonderful spot to meet up with friends or spend time with family. They rotate their menu regularly, which keeps things fresh and exciting. The portions are quite generous as well! My husband and I both ordered The Javanese. The noodles were delicate and flavorful, with a very mild spice level (around 0.5–1), and the egg added a nice texture. The food was greasy and tasteless and the service was nonexistent. After 35 minutes of sitting at the table they placed us at, I had to go and find someone to get us glasses of water. If you’re part of the commune they treat you great and get your order immediately. Everyone else can wait. I’ve never been back, nor will I.
It’s a cool place, and the baklava is amazing! The food takes a while to get out, but I love the fact that they switch up the menu, though it is kind of limited! :) the atmosphere is nice as well
