Stopped in on Friday evening for the first time, spoke with Christy, the owner, and had a great conversation while she explained the from-scratch kitchen, her awesome team, the pies, recipes, the use of seasonal ingredients and her passion behind it. I stumbled onto this on my way to another place. I had the mushroom and potato pie and it was exceptionally good. Only 5 minutes to make. So I ordered a chicken pot pie and a lemon pie with pecan. The carrot salad was interesting cuz it had just a hint of horseradish which I like. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Perfect place just to have a coffee and relax.
We got the chicken pot and sloppy Joe hand pies with the onion jam on the side. Both were delicious. The pastry is buttery and flaky. We shared a side of the macaroni salad. The salad is mustard forward if you couldn't tell by the color but it was delicious. If you have never had a hand pie, you might question the size but they were the perfect amount. This new foodie Hotspot is perfect for the pie connoisseur or the date out with the pie lover! It is a quieter little shop with a few dine-in tables. I enjoyed the Quiche with Rosemary Onion Jam, and Oh! My! Goodness! The crust was Heavenly! The quiche consistency was very smooth and the rosemary onion jam just turned it all into perfection! I stopped in the other day and got 2 savory options and 2 sweet. The sloppy Joe was good with simple, nostalgic flavor. The chicken pot pie stole the show as a delicious comfort food with hearty filling and a delicious crust. The chocolate chess pie was rich absolutely a chocolate lover's dream.
