I recently had the Transmission on my 2107 GMC Yukon fail at 112,000 miles. The clutch in the torque convertor failed, sending metal debris everywhere.Apparently all the 4L60 transmissions will have a torque converter failure eventually. Prior to this the trans had a plastic check ball seize in the Valve Body separator plate at 80K miles, resulting in no Drive, but reverse. An easier fix. Honest and Efficient Service! When a dealership quoted me $800 for a transmission service and reseal, Ivan came through with a much better price—saving me hundreds. Shop is not visible from the street, being in a mixed use business complex, but there's plenty of parking and the office is temperature controlled and decent. After receiving a crazy quote for tranny work from another shop, alternatively I decided to take my truck to this shop, and boy was I pleased.
