Well I am looking at used Honda's to buy and I called Honda in Shingle Springs for advice. The guy directed me to speak with Bill at the Toy Shop. So I just called about 5 minutes ago and I was appalled at the poor customer service and poor phone skills the lady who answered demonstrated. I asked for Bill and she ignored me and said he isn't here and I told her I was recommended to speak with Bill. No longer happy here – Overfilled CRV transmission during 120K inspection causing improper shifting and engine over-speed when heading up hill under load, a serious condition not discovered until traveling out of state. Unsure of the cause, our trip was delayed a day for dealer diagnostics. Bill, the original owner has retired and a brash and unreasonable woman has taken over - I was treated very unkindly and without concern when complaining about my inconvenience. Will never take my cars again to the TOY SHOP. Give very low estimate and end up paying over a $1500. Probably doing repairs that don't need to be done since Folsom Toyota dealership did not find any major problems. Took car to TOY SHOP for minor problem and learn a good lesson: DO NOT TRUST THE LOW BALL ESTIMATE THEY GIVE YOU, GO ELSEWHERE!!!
Honest? Reliable? Friendly? Good prices? YES!!! – We have been using them for years with our Acura, Toyota and Hondas and they are fantastic. Great prices compared to the dealers, reliable and friendly. We have never had a problem with their estimates or their work. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We have recommended them to several friends and they have become long-time customers as well.
Great repair shop! – The Toy Shop is a great repair shop, they are fair and do what ever it takes to make it right! The car is running great. I will keep coming back.
An honest car repair place – My wife and I have been going to the Toy Shop for many years now and they always deliver a fair service. Last week the local Toyota dealer (no names, but located in Folsom) told me my water pump was leaking and my transmission oil needed replacement on my Prius when I brought it in for warranty work.
