We we stopping by on our way to Destin Florida. I ordered the brisket tacos after the waitress informed us that the pancakes or the waffle did not come as a combo with breakfast meats and your choice of eggs. We were slightly disappointed. The tacos with the hashbrown casserole. Both were delicious. The casserole was very cheesy, yum. My guy ordered the spinach and Mushroom omelet. We really loved this restaurant. We stuck to our favorites, Eggs Benedict and Western Omlette. No wait for seating, plenty of parking. Quick greet and drink service. Gave us time to look over the menu. Once ordered, we received our food quick, too. Good value for the amount of food. We don't live in the area, but look forward to trying something new when we are next in town.
We were passing thru and the Metro diner had a waitlist so we decided to try Toasted Yolk. We were sat pretty quickly and our waiter came a bit later than expected not too bad. But basically after she got our orders we didnt see her again. We had to ask another server for additional water and our check. But we both ordered half salad half sandwich meals. Tyler, my waiter was very friendly and helpful. He did not hover but made sure my needs were met. Food was excellent and the coffee was great too! It does take a minute to get coffee from the bar but I can understand that (wasn’t super long, lol).
I’ve come here many times and never had any issues. However this time specifically was terrible. The wait was long so you would assume the restaurant was packed. It wasn’t. Many booths and tables were open. I ordered the southwest arnold. I was surprised to find what looked like wood chips in my food. The waitress tried to tell me it was onions from the hashbrown casserole….then the manager proceeded to tell me that it was the overcooked turkey… the Arnold comes with lunch meat turkey..you don’t cook that like regular meat. ... read more
