I started in 1957 and was a co-op to Georgia Tech in mechanical engineering. I later obtained a MS mechanical engineering fro Case Western University. I was in the Railroad Division, engineering railroad bearing applications. I transferred to the Physical Laboratory as supervisor of all bearing testing for three years. Then I transferred back to Railroad Engineering and advanced eventually to Chief Engineer, Global Railroad Business where I travelled extensively around the world, promoting Timken bearings.
