The Tides is an old-style California motor hotel located on busy PCH. In its heyday it must have been the jewel of Laguna Beach. Today, this centrally located yet tired facility is in need of various upgrades, starting with room insulation so as not to be so fully aware of what is going on next door. Its affordable rates and location keep me coming back.
Great location and service. My brother lives close by so its an obvious choice for us, especially when travelling with my family. The large room had plenty of space for a family of 4 with a nearby grocery store and a full kitchen, eating at the hotel was easy every morning. There was a heated pol which our boys loved and it was also nearby the main beach and other smaller beaches, lots of restaurants and coffee shops. Grab a pizza at Grazie Grazie and enjoy the sunset on the lawn across the street.
This was a great little spot! Staff is so friendly and easy going. Great location, steps from the beach and lots of dining options. Parking included on property which was good as well. We will be glad to stay again someday!
My family of 3 spent a week at the Tides & it couldn’t have been more delightful. It was sparkling clean, without any strong cleaning smells. The location is PERFECT—we walked to get coffee and to sit on the beach every morning. Everyone we encountered was amazing. We hope to return, we made cherished memories during our time here.
This place is adorable! Great deal, very clean. Beautiful walk to the beach. Amazing coffee shop next door that opens at 6am, good affordable mexican place, Chelas, a block away. Its not luxury but you know that from the price, great for an afforable stay!
