One of the best and most friendly restaurants in Cape Town. No visit at CPT without a Test Kitchen stop. The story of the restaurant (train people which don’t have opportunities) with the friendliness is just amazing. The food is great. Starters lovely. The highlight: The main dishes (fillet and springbok) So amazing and tasty. Healthy options and alcohol free beer is served. Amazing restaurant. Eat here.
The most impressive restaurant we visited in Cape Town. My wife and I chose the Chef’s Recommended Tasting Menu with the wine pairing, and it was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Every course was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and paired perfectly with excellent South African wines. We LOVED our experience here. The tasting menu was amazing, along with the service. It was quite quiet when we came which is a shame but hopefully just a one off as would so highly recommend for a treat, special meal. Our waiter had the best vibes and service all round was great. Standout dishes for us were the tuna tartare & the springbok. It is expensive but we thought worth it!
I was lucky enough to experience a few tasting menus in Cape Town. This was my favorite overall. I wanted more of every single dish; I also appreciated that it was a tasting menu but there were choices you could make throughout the meal that made everyones meal special... To my suprise, I left absolutely stuffed, which was a nice monus. The staff had a joyful casual comeroderie that made the meal feel so much more fun. Absolutely would go back!
Great overall experience. For single people or couples, i would recommend sitting at the counter so you can really see all the staff cooking - it’s not assembling it’s really the full kitchen, which is quite rare. We took « à la carte », but some of the dishes are similar to the tasting menu. Everything was delicious. I booked it thinking it was fine dining, in terms of atmosphère and vibes it is more casual though.
