Awesome place!
The food is just okay. The smoked chicken seems dry and barely warmed up (street tacos). The Kona Kanpachi portion was small but tasty; however, the obscene pile of tortilla chips dumped on top of the Kanpachi was not sexy at all. Ahi Carpaccio did not disappoint. Beers were good 🤙🏼 Lots of fruit flies 🪰 flying around the bar - this is almost always a sanitation issue ⚠️ Have a look at all drains to see if those need to be cleaned.
Good service and high quality food. The addition of pickles to the charcuterie platter was $6, gaining us 12 medallions of pickled baby cukes. While they were well prepared, 50 cents for each morsel was a bit steep.
A great surprise at Hilo’s downtown! The food was incredible. We had Clams de Spain, Sashimi carpaccio, Fried rice and Pork Belly. Hard to say which one was best as they were all so tasty. Great service as well!
Lately, I asked for a margarita, I was served something on the rocks that I did not recognize or tasted before elsewhere. The drink contained about two or three sips swiming in ice cubes. Within three or four minutes I was asked about having another, I obviously made mistake to tell the bartender that I was a tad disappointed.
