Wow , what amazing place . Started with a hot bloody Mary . Then came the tasty burger . Both served by a smiling and cheerful waiter. You will have to travel to NYC to find a cooler interior space . I'm coming back soon and bringing more friends . Thanks Monroe needed a place like this . Actually every town does !
Great restraunt; the environment, food, and prices make the tavern one of the best restraunts I've eaten at in the area. Having been there twice in the past two weeks, I would recommend this restraunt to any one who is looking for a good quality place to eat that's affordable!
Just ate at tavern last week. The place was totally awesome . A sophisticated, delicious comfort food with a funky twist. Really fun, great music -- awesome for families and people who appreciate the gourmet twist to the food. I chatted with the owner who also runs great restaurants in south norwalk and he definitely brought something different, and great to monroe! Don't get the fench onion soup it's was sweet and it should be salty. My girlfriend's ceaser salad was 12 dollars and it was nothing but sandwich lettuce with a splash of dressing, it had four pieces of chicken and a slice of cheese on top. Our appetizer was also 12 dollars for four small scallops wraped in bacon and more sucky lettuce. I got the rib-eye sandwich and it tasted ok but it was supposed to come with sauted onions and mushrooms; instead it had some weird sausage topping on it.
