Self service bar! Really easy to use and added bonus of staff to get to going. Added bonus of games to make play as well.
Can you be a bar without….a bar? The Taphouse has removed theirs and placed in “serve your own pint” taps. Is it faster? Probably not - considering as the details of drinks are barely visible, people taking longer pouring their own pints than bar staff would and the architecture of the places lacks any anchor point. A failed experiment in the future of drinking - it’s no wonder this hasn’t caught on more widely. A pub or bar is a social space, not a lifeless repository of alcohol, arranged in the corner like hospital drips.
