I’m Joe’s wife Carole, and I arrived day 4 after Rt hip replacement. I found the room very comfortable & quiet so I had good sleeps. My physio Jason was fantastic. He was considerate & caring. Pushed me when I needed it. He’s helper Nick was great - we had a fun time on level 4. Also had a great physio in the hydro pool called Pranav. My experience at Sydney Private Hospital Ashfield was deeply disappointing, especially considering the cost of approximately $1,000 per day to be a patient there. For such a high fee, I expected professional, compassionate care — but sadly, that was not my experience. The quality of care was poor, and I often felt dismissed or ignored by staff. Staff were very lovely and accommodating... This isn't a public hospital so for the price I paid Id expect to have my pre op check up in a nicer room that doesn't seem to be a store room as it was with a messy space , carton boxes stacked up and people walking in and out of. Nicer sandwiches for the price tag would also be welcomed. Operation went well but that's based on the surgeon.
I have recently finished a few months of twice weekly outpatient rehab at The Sydney Private Hospital after my double knee replacement surgery. The rehab staff have all been very good. They are knowledgeable and pleasant...and display genuine interest and care for their rehab patients. The facility is well equipped, and the heated pool is absolutely wonderful. I'd like to particularly thank therapists Caitlin, Jason, Laura and Poppy for looking after me so well.
