Was in town visiting and needed a gym to go to. They have all the cool stuff for strongman competitions but they also have lots of other machines, squat racks and all the sizes for dumbbells. They were so nice and helpful when I wasn’t sure about which machine to use. The vibe is great and I look forward to stopping by whenever I’m in SLC visiting.
The Sweaty Pig is an awesome place to be. The owner, Conner, is a very genuine person. I've only met him once but his personality oozes everywhere within the gym (you will see lots of random small pigs everywhere ). Originally I felt a bit out of place seeing so many people that are super strong, even most chicks are stronger than me. But the Sweaty Pig has a very inclusive feel. Cute gym!! Recently expanded. Good weightlifting equipment. Nice atmosphere.
This gym is elite and so fun. Please read the following before you go: - this is not your typical gym, this is a strongman/women gym. - there will be massive individuals, often shirtless throwing around insane weights - you can smell the raw power in the gym - do not be intimidated, everyone I met was super nice and ready to help if needed - there may not be a front desk person, don’t worry, just scan the QR code on the wall and pay for a day pass on their website
Sure the equipment here is great, and the gym has every kind of barbell that exists (and several that scientists have yet to discover), but the thing that really keep people excited about this place are the people. From ownership to members, everybody is friendly, approachable, caring, and happy to help.
