I see many negative reviews for The Swan Practice. I agree that it is not that easy to make an appointment, and the booking system is horrid, (even though most surgeries have this booking system now) it is convoluted and a typical example of technology making ones life harder. However, they do have a fantastic doctor there, He is kind, considerate, makes you feel you are being listened to and sadly, young, so he probably won’t stay long.

This surgery used to be amazing & then the pandemic hit and 5 years later it is really hard to get an appointment (roughly 2-3 weeks) but then you’re recommended to go to A&E if the issue gets worse- Waste of recourses. However I did make a complaint which isn’t something I would do usually but I had enough. I then received a text with a date with Dr C Boyd who I cannot fault. Two stars because it was a really good surgery. The formation of the Swan Practice is a perfect example of why monopolies are bad. Last time I called it was a 3-4 week wait for an appointment and my problem was stopping me working, so a huge issue for my company. So, a private GP for me now, not cheap, but same day or next day appointments, just like the NHS should be and was here once.
