This hotel is amazing. It has a modern loft look in each room. The whole hotel has wooden flooring. This hotel is in the heart of the historic downtown of Florence, AL. It is convient to restaurants on the trip as well.

​I recently stayed at The Stricklin Hotel and absolutely loved the charm and character of the place. The location in downtown Florence is perfect—so walkable to great shops and restaurants. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and had a wonderful boutique feel that you just don't get at chain hotels. The staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. ​My only real disappointment was finding out that The Boiler Room in the basement was closed for renovations. Avoid if you have allergies to mold. First room had mold across the ceiling despite being the top floor (310). Moved rooms and second one had hair all over bed and pillows, with a scattering across bathroom. Also seemed to be residual mold in places. Stayed the night in that room but the next day when multiple rooms on the third floor took showers, the room flooded in the bathroom and bedroom.
