Well let me tell you, you pay $300 a night for a place and when you arrive you have to call a number to get someone to even come to the front desk, so we start out on the wrong foot there. Next, we get into our room and the AC unit is making strange noises, so I go down to alert the front desk and ask about getting moved to another room, the response was “oh are you in room 323”—- um yes we are…. I really enjoyed my two-night stay at The Stricklin Hotel. It has a great boutique feel, lots of charm, and a perfect downtown Florence location close to shops and restaurants. My room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I was disappointed The Boiler Room was closed for renovations, but that just gives me a good reason to come back. Overall, it is a stylish, memorable hotel with great service, and I would definitely recommend it.
We had a nice weekend getaway here. No complaints!
Edit: When I went to the bathroom this morning to start getting ready, the water pipes above us had busted and they were pouring water down onto the bathroom floor. Beautiful hotel, very old and needs some serious updates :( I’m very sad I spent $500 to stay here for 2 nights. We Are staying here currently just for a weekend away. Hotel is pretty and has a nice boutique, vintage vibe. However the past 2 nights I have been woken up at exactly 1:40 AM to the sounds of the guests above us having loud relations.
