I have never forgotten this wonderful hotel, one that transports you to a feeling of being in the Alps. It was really delightful. I just searched because I wanted to return and saw that it is closed. Let’s hope it is only temporary as it was really special.
Awesome retro building and architecture
Please please don’t let some developer come in and “demolish” this landmark. Thousands of families have many memories made here and developers need to work with what they’ve got. Yes, it’s older but so are the best in Stowe and they’re thriving. Just my sentimental venting.
Stayed in 2022. Great, cozy/retro, dog friendly hotel right down the road from Stowe Mountain Resort. Has a very interesting vibe, like a retro ski resort from the 60s or 70s but overall very warm and cozy with lots of character. You really feel like you are escaping from typical civilization with this resort. The breakfast made to order is excellent and the rooms are spacious with good beds, smart TVs and WiFi.
