I leased a 30ft by 11.5 ft space. When I arrived, the space had a light post nearly in the middle of the space. I called the manager who said the 30 ft was measured from the light post. I measured it and it was 20 ft 3 inches and 11 ft 3 inches wide. My boat was hanging out by a few inches and he said they would fine me or charge me extra for a larger unit. I don't know much about storage units but being in between houses I had to learn. Storage units here are reserved online and you can also call the owner if you need to. Like for example I had a top storage 5×5 locker. I was trying to get something of mine that was small out and it fell thru the crack into the bottom locker. I thought it was going to be gone forever! I called the owner and he got in touch with the tenant below me and recovered my item! I ended up getting a bottom unit instead and the transfer was painless. Su... read more
