We stayed while participating in a bowling tournament. Our room was great had deck to sit and enjoy nature.The food was excellent. We enjoyed talking with Janice and her new cat Chatty. When I'm in Baton Rouge I will stay again. Thank you Janice.
Such a life-changing travel experience. So we stayed at the Stockade a couple of months ago as I was having outpatient surgery and needed a quiet place to recover for a day. We had such a positive experience there that now when we travel we look for B&Bs like the Stockade. I fully credit the ease of my recovery to going straight there post surgery to rest and just " be." I would suggest a better attitude answering a call inquiring stays. The owner answered and was upset that I called at night to book. She said are you asking me to? You can book it online yourself… what?! I informed her obviously I would have… IF IT LET ME BUT IT STATED I COULDNT AND TO CONTACT THE PROPERTY. How rude. Whats sad is Im an event coordinator that was trying to book as many rooms as possible for the night of the 15th. Big Mistake. HUGE. Please be mindful how you speak to ppl. Great niche of a place. We had a fun time and took a few pictures. They did bedside breakfast, and it was nice.
Lovely place to stay in. The house and room are very confortable and most of all Janice was very warm and welcoming, full of good advices to enjoy our stay in Baton Rouge. I deeply recommand !
