This review reflects our overall experience and the price point — just over $400 per night. To start with the positives: the staff were genuinely kind, and the property itself is beautiful. The gardens, pool, and common areas — especially around the lobby — are wonderfully maintained and give a great first impression. Parking was easy (though there’s an overnight fee of $32), and we were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary coffee at the front desk in the mornings. The hotel was very nice, but I had a few issues with my stay. The AC wasn't working well at all, had it set for 64 degrees and I woke up in the middle of the night, sweating. Not good! Also, the ice machine in my building wasn't working so I had to go to another building to get ice. At least I got my steps in that day!

We just stayed at this hotel as a family of 5, spending 2 days in Santa Barbara. This location is not convenient to downtown at all. In true honesty, this is a dressed up, renovated motel. It’s poorly maintained, the AC is insanely loud and goes off every 5 minutes, waking you up all night. It’s a far uber ride to everything you’d plan to do. There is no elevator, so luggage is an issue. I just wouldn’t stay here again. Pretty decorations masking a dirty hotel. Needs a thorough touch up and cleaning of toilets/showers.

Really wanted to like this property as there aren’t many chain hotel accommodations throughout Santa Barbara that aren’t a rebranded, renovated motel. Our room’s bathroom emitted a horrible smell. We complained about it with no fix. It was overbearing so much we had to make sure the bathroom door was closed so it wouldn’t stink up the rest of the room. What a lovely wedding room. We’ll always remember the horrible smell.
