Great place to eat service was great along with the food.
Visited once coming back from mammoth cave. Very nice place. Great atmosphere. Burger I had was very good. Girlfriends chicken sandwich was good.
Some of the meal was GREAT, like the spinach dip and fried mushrooms. Catfish and coleslaw was also great with some very unique in-house tartar sauce. Ribeye was super tender, but came out undercooked(ordered med rare and got rare) and had a bit too much garlic powder. Crispy Brussels and French onion soup were a bit of a disappointment. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and the server was attentive.
Edited: Something has changed with management or ownership. Service and food has gone downhill fast. Waitress told us to look up specials online. Really? Place used to be busy but now it’s dead. Hope someone new buys or takes over because the current people have run it into the ground. My old review: Good food, service, music...What more could you ask. All in a small town USA! This is a hidden gem of a town and Steel Coop is the hub for a beer, food and live music!
How this place has went downhill should be studied. A couple of years ago at 7:30 on a Saturday night you wouldn’t have been able to find a table but it was a ghost town, which was probably foreshadowing for the night to come. My wife and I sat out on the patio which was in desperate need of attention. Trash everywhere, tables that hadn’t been cleaned and a broken tv and fan.
