Genuinely, I cannot wait to move out of this place. I have lived in Fruit Fly Hell for the past year. The quality between apartments on different sides of the building is genuinely appalling. I lived on the lobby side last year, which was fine, and then I moved to a different apartment on the other side - which is where the trash room is. I cannot emphasize how horrendous the fruit fly problem is. They are everywhere in my apartment, it's disgusting. I've tried everything to get rid of them, too. I’ve never done reviews so I’ll be as honest as possible to give out the pros and cons. If you solely want to come home and sleep while enjoying the amenities then sure, it’s a nice spot. A bit pricier than average but decent. However, if you feel like you would rely on wifi to either work from home, study or take an online final (as I would for all), HIGHLY consider another apartment. This was my first time living in shared housing and it was okay. I got lucky and got a great roommate, when I first moved in. A couple months later, my friend moved in with us and things were good. However, two weeks after she moved in, we received two day notice that two more girls would be moving in with us. This gave us an inadequate amount of time to organize the apartment for their arrival, as we had three people and two pets living with us. The Standard is the worst place to live. If you forget to pay rent by even 2 days, they remove your ability to pay by card. Meanwhile, the Wi-Fi barely works, the fire alarm is constantly going off, and our AC was broken for 3 days in Florida. When I said I needed to open the windows because the apartment felt suffocating, they told me I would be responsible for any humidity damage. On top of that, when you report Wi-Fi issues, they just tell you to call the provider. I would not recommend living here.
