I went to an urgent care and was given a sling. A month later, I got a call from the sports medicine shop saying that they supply the durable medical equipment to this urgent care and she needed info.... personal info that I don't give to strangers on the phone. She said if I didn't give it, I would receive the bill... this was a workman's comp claim. Find another place to get a brace. Terrible, I was south visiting and went to urgent care, there I received a wrist brace. This was October, in April I saw my insurance had denied the claim and a week later I got a bill from a collection company. I never got a bill from Sports Medicine Shop and now I’m in collections?! I called Sports Medicine Shop and while the woman I spoke with was nice enough her explanation left me feeling very uneasy and more confused.
