So disappointed with the SOS concert. We were in the balcony and the acoustics were terrible. It sounded like all the band members were trying to outdo each other! The drums were particularly loud. Annoying strobe lights kept blinding us — they were positioned way too low. Such a shame since the building is beautiful and from what we could hear of the 2 lead singers they were quite talented.
The Spire is truly such a special place. Whether you are attending church, taking a class, watching or even performing in a show/concert, you can trust that the Spire is a safe and welcoming place for everyone! Admittedly, church is not something I grew up with so I can find it a little bit hard to feel comfortable in them at times, but I have never felt anything but safe and happy here.
Sound quality was absolutely terrible. The band was good -we think. But hard to tell because all we heard was noise. We tried our best to sing along and have fun, but never again. We went with a couple of friends who left after the 1st half.
First time to The Spire this evening to enjoy Vivaldi by candlelight…this venue and the music was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this if you want a lovely evening out in Kingston.
