MARKETING TEAM WAS AWSOME, ELLEN & RICK! BEAUTIFUL HISTORICAL CHURCH.
Beautiful place for a wedding but the parking a different story. The owner Ellen has no communication skills on what needed to be acquired ahead of time. We were told two weeks prior the caterer needed food permits to be submitted. Also the company for the Spire needed to be added on to the caterers insurance. Again all this should have been said in the very beginning. Ellen had also mention they had a small fire awhile back and renovations were being done. Beautiful venue with a lot of history. My sister had her wedding here and I love it. Born in San Antonio I never knew it was there but I wish I did.
We saw an Edgar Allen Poe speakeasy popup show here which was awesome. It made us curious if they did weddings as the venue is gorgeous and a historical site which was originally built in 1884 as the previous location of San Antonio’s oldest African American church. My daughter booked and paid for the venue before we (her parents) could see it. it’s nice? But there are some things it’s missing. There is no room for the bride to wait in before the ceremony. The parking is definitely going to be a challenge. This was only our preview! Will let you know how things go in November! Oh and we reimbursed our daughter the day she picked it out.
