About this business
The Society's Curriculum is based on traditional methods of training that began in the Workshops of the Italian Renaissance over 750 years. Michael Mentler has studied, absorbed, and re-invented those methods to make them relevant to today's artists. TSoFA offers Instruction in: Drawing Fundamentals, Figure Drawing and Painting, Cast Drawing, Portraiture, Still Life, Composition, Design, Perspective, Proportion, and Constructive Anatomy. Such a fun experience! Worth every penny; the camaraderie was wonderful, and the instruction top-notch. I hope to do it again!!
Great space for learning! Came here for a drawing workshop and loved it. They have life drawing sessions on Fridays, as well as workshops every month or so. Michael Mentler is a true master, he will change the way you see form and art in general.
Amazing structure and form drawing course in June 2019. Michael Mentler is a master draftsman and teacher. The Society of Figurative Arts is a wonderful studio venue for learning and inspiration. I will be back as often as I can.
