Our family wanted some tasty BBQ. I noticed the positive reviews for the Smokey Pit. The food was delicious! When we arrived it felt like someone was saying welcome home because of the kind staff and comfortable atmosphere. You will not regret going!
We were traveling through Baton Rouge on our way from North AL. To Houston, TX. We looked for a good place to eat and saw the reviews for The Smokey Pit and settled on BBQ for our meal. We were blown away by the great service and the atmosphere and then we tasted the food. Man, was it good; it was excellent and we finished every bite. I can't say enough about this place!! First of all, the flavor of the ribs almost makes me cry each time I get them. This is the only restaurant I've had that reminds me of my Dad. The flavor, the quality of the food is ALWAYS on point. Meats are CONSISTENTLY good and tasty. I have recommended this place to several people that loved my Dad's food and they all agree, THIS IS OUR SPOT!!! I'm impressed and hooked!!
