I stayed just one night for Ethel Cain at the caverns, and while the one night trip to a state 7 hours from me was of course worth it (shoutout to Ethel Cain) , the room itself was definitely a little scary. Obviously it got the job done because i just needed a bed to stay in and the bed itself looked clean and bug free- the bathroom (specifically tub) was visibly dirty. Like brown dirt in the tub. Rustic charm hotel on the outside with a great location. The room was good for the price. You can tell the rooms are kept clean generally speaking. I did not feel comfortable using the sitting chair because of stains though. The room lighting is inadequate and there are signs of age/issues not addressed, such as flooring planks separating, curtains that are broken and held with a push pin, a small antiquated cable TV.

Absolutely beautiful place! The rooms, beds, pillows... were all very comfortable. There was a refrigerator and coffee pot, but no microwave. The clerks at the front desk were very helpful. The housekeeping staff was also very attentive to our needs. While we didn't use the pool, we saw several guests using it. It looked well maintained, and there were pool toys available for guests' use. Location was great, as the lodge is right off the interstate.
