What can I say that everyone doesn't already know about how awesome the Smith Center is. I found out when I sat in on a question and answer from the creators of the play "Idaho" that our ticket prices only pay for 75% of what it costs to bring an act to Las Vegas. The other 25% cones from donations and fundraisers. What a worthwhile place to invest in and make our community even better culturally!!!

It is a beautiful place and the entertainment was great. The worst part is the inside needs to be updated and more accommodating to seniors. There is way too many stairs. My mother is 84 years old and had to walk up six rows of stairs to get to her seat. Today she is in severe pain at her knees. Took 3 different elevators when the show was over as none of them would open. Finally had to take a service elevator. What should have been maybe 10-15 minutes to get out of there took 45. Not too pleased.

My husband is handicapped and going out sometimes is too hard. We went to Shen Yuan last month. I was so impressed with the care the Smith Center gives the handicapped. Pick up at our vehicle meant I didn't have to set up his scooter. Drop off at the door. He sometimes with dementia has an "outburst". While in line he got upset and everyone was so understanding. I can't wait to go again.
