I travelled from out of town, and I would have to say I had a very positive experience at the VGH Psoriasis and Phototherapy Clinic. The nurse who performed my phototesting—I believe her name was Jojo—was incredibly kind, compassionate, and thorough. She frequently checked in to make sure I was comfortable and asked if I needed a break or some water. A very scary and unsettling experience with Dr. Brian Kunimoto. I will share with my family physician about my experience today. I am a very well mannered, polite, senior, who came in for a consultation from my doctors referral. When I was there, he said “this is not what you were referred for. “I told him that I had spoken to my doctor about these issues and she referred me to you, and was completely unaware of anything else about the referral process, but these were my issues.. Spent an hour and half in rush hour to get there, only to wait for another 30mins in this guy's office, he calls him self Dr. Zhou, then after very rushed 2-3 mins of very hasty Q&A I was told that my appointment was done. Folks, I dont know about other "Doctors" at this clinic but if your appointment is with Zhou, you are wasting your time.
Im surprised Dr Kunimoto still has his license. I don’t need to repeat my experience with him as theres plenty of reviews for that. I write this to let others know I finally found a good Dermatologist - Dr Monam. Good luck everyone, and keep trying your best to get the dermatological help you need!
I was referred to dermatologist doctor Brian Kunimoto around eight or nine years ago from my M.D. Dr. Webb. The reason was for a dark brown spot on the side of my face that started out small but eventually grew to an unsightly blotch.
