One of our family's favorite places in Portland. We always try to bring out-of-town guests, especially our teen's weird friends. Best bit is the uranium glass that glows and all the info about the radium girls. Every time we go, I giggle for a moment before walking into that room because it's the MOST TOXIC THING IN PORTLAND or something like that. Very cool. The shop is great, too, got the teen some "Vamp-ons," pretty funny stuff. And awesome small business vibes with helpful staff and just friendly and perfect. Love it.
Walked in and was immediately amazed by the items for sale. Big selection of second hand or handmade products, as well as unique pieces. Some taxidermy for sale, too. I got a second-hand babydoll top, so so cute and very affordable. Staff were very friendly and sociable, we had conversation with both employees on at the time. They seemed happy to give more information about what items we were interested in, even without being asked. We opted to pay for museum entry, which was very interesting and sometimes spooky.
