DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! First and Foremost, the business response is full of lies and covering thier ....... The real estate taxes were paid WELL in advance of closing and if they had looked, they would have known that, but the problem is they didn't look. I closed on 12/22 and taxes were paid Nash County 11/10/25 and Rocky Mount City was paid 11/13/25. Tax screen shots are attached to this review. I can't attach any agreement because there isn't one. I would be weary working with Ryan Shoaf. He has a very fragile ego and is emotionally unstable. Please consider conducting your business elsewhere.
DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! Well, my intentions are to leave a horrible review based on the experience I had at closing today, but others are saying the same. They are money grabbing for closings when you pay for the price of an attorney and never see an attorney. I had questions and all the notary kept saying was "I will check with Eva (paralegal). I was supporting a friend with her house closing. She used Shoaf Law Firm for notary services. The degree of unprofessionalism I witnessed was astonishing, to the point where I could never recommend this law firm in good faith to anyone for notary services. The Shoaf Law Firm notary ghosted my friend, finally arrived 4 hours late after not providing any notification of delay and ignoring phone calls, and then said she was experiencing “printer trouble”.
