I have had their shades installed a few times. They mostly work reasonably well, but the installation, service and support is atrocious. I’ve never had a person show up within 90 minutes of the 2+ hour arrival window. I’m currently getting blown off again right now. No one called to say how late the guy would be and if you call you can’t even get a scheduler on the phone to discuss it.
This is a review of my recent experience at the shade store. We purchased shades there almost 10 years ago and decided we needed an update my point person at the Mill Valley location was Lisa Cohan. She was engaged in helpful to inform me of any things that have changed since the last time we purchased window, coverings and shades. Avoid this company. Local service and national support totally disconnected and local Mill Valley store is totally unresponsive. We spent over $20K to install new automatic and manual blinds in our home. Installer was rushed and spent no time going over the operational programing of the automatic blinds. Several blinds did not work as programmed. Contacted the Mill Valley store and customer service. Rep came out and diagnosed the problem with need to install booster for WiFi connectivity. Excellent experience and so so easy. The in-store expertise and generous selection of samples allowed us to move forward very quickly. Communication and transacting was a breeze. Jakari arrived yesterday and installed our roller shades quickly and efficiently. They look perfect.
The Shade Store has restored my faith in companies that sell shades and blinds. After a very bad experience with another company, I am so happy with the care and professionalism that their team provides.I like that the measurements are taken first by the person who also installs the blinds.
