I have absolutely loved my time here at the scout. If I was staying in Richmond I would definitely renew. Brandon is the best PM I have ever had. He was always so accessible and helpful. He made my move to Richmond feel like I had a second family. The resident events are always exciting and welcoming. It makes it super easy to transition to your new home. Very very nice appartmentcomplex, we visited family here. All the accommodations are very clean, like the pool and the gym
The property manager is unresponsive and the office is disorganized. They are refusing to refund my security deposit, despite receiving a perfect review on my move-out inspection (they cannot locate my original deposit, despite the fact that I have sent proof of payment). Do NOT live here if you expect to receive appropriate communication and a correct refund on your security deposit. I have lived in several different apartments and have never had an experience like this.
The Scout is a fantastic apartment complex. The property is well-maintained, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the location is convenient. What really stands out is the staff — they are friendly, professional, and always willing to help. From the leasing office to maintenance, everyone goes above and beyond to make sure residents feel at home. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to live!
While the location in Scott’s Addition is convenient and walkable to many restaurants, the overall living experience has been disappointing. The building has poor sound insulation—you can clearly hear conversations from the hallway, footsteps from neighbors above, barking dogs, and elevator dings. Construction quality feels subpar, although maintenance will come next-day to fix issues. One of the two elevators is frequently out of service.
