Went here in April for assistance and was turned away over a missing receipt that was verifiable in my lease. Went back this week for rental assistance due to me becoming temporarily disabled and was told that they couldn’t select me (they selected 20 from 37 homes according to their email). I’m being evicted for being late 5 days. Their selection system is unfair. Why not assist all 37 with an amount instead of selecting 20? I’m sure we all desperately needed help. Tonight I was asked by a Bell Ringer at my place of work for "a few dollars to get something to eat" & then immediately had to ring him up for the alcohol he purchased with it to my horror. I will no longer support to Salvation Army in Hampton Roads.

The best Christmas event in Hampton Roads. This is my favorite event to volunteer for. I look forward to it every year. It's just nice to be a blessing to those in need.

I am on the military and doing voluntary work with them since june this year and is an awesome experience.

Very nice place but we were a family of 5 and because my daughter was 10, we were told we couldn't volunteer and sent away. So much for showing my kids how to help give back. I'll have to find another avenue to do this.
