I recently visited The Rushton and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience at the front of house. We arrived as a party of four hoping to get a table on the patio, which we understood might involve a wait or reservation. When we asked about availability, the hostess immediately told us that we “typically should have reserved,” which is fair enough. Horrible experience. Rude server. The worst steak ever.
Honestly, this was the worst steak I’ve ever had I ordered it medium rare, but it came out rare. The food was disappointing, and the service wasn’t much better! It took forever for someone to take our order and even longer for the food to arrive. What really upset me was the attitude about tipping. We actually tipped our server even though we weren’t happy with either the food or the service. Staff was welcoming and warm. My son and I needed an after school before math class snack. Steak was perfectly cooked and juicy. Wings hit the spot and the calamari friti hits without heavy oil. 10/10 great spot, patio is even better.
