I highly recommend Hamid with your precious antique rugs! I bought an old saddlebag rug to him and it was very dusty, grimy and unravelling. I asked Hamid to clean it but also to advise me on restoration. He gave me options of what he would do if it were his rug but let me choose what was best for me. In the end I asked for the fringe to be repaired and for a wash. What an amazing job! The colours are so vibrant again and the fringe is much tidier. We were so happy with Hamid's service at Rugguru in cleaning and restoring our Turkey Rugs that got damaged in the flood at our house. We thought the Rugs were rotting away after been wet for a month and smelly. Hamid cleaned and restored them to their original state and it looks fabulous 👌
I just had two old Persian rugs restored and cleaned by Hamid. He is a true artist when it comes to his work. It is a passion rather than toil. I have also gained so much knowledge from his stories whilst he has assessed then returned them. I totally recommend Hamid - you will not recognise your old rug when he returns it! Top score!!! My hall runner was damaged on the side and you would never guess.
Do not hesitate using The Rug Guru! I would highly recommend his services to you and I am very fussy! My light cream silk, bamboo, wool blend rug went to him grubby, very grey where we walk on it and with two large yellowed areas where I had tried to clean the rug myself. There were also tufts of fibre sticking up all over the rug. The Rug Guru, Hamid told me I could hand cut all the tufts off by hand once I got it back as more might come loose due to the cleaning process. Hamid does a great job of cleaning your precious rugs without harsh chemicals. He’s very knowledgeable and can offer advice on all types of floor rugs. One of our rugs had faded on the surface and the edges were damaged. When Hamid worked his magic it looked like new! He is absolutely trustworthy, very polite and communicates well about time frames and costs for the work. I can recommend The Rug Guru, unreservedly.
