I highly recommend Hamid with your precious antique rugs! I bought an old saddlebag rug to him and it was very dusty, grimy and unravelling. I asked Hamid to clean it but also to advise me on restoration. He gave me options of what he would do if it were his rug but let me choose what was best for me. In the end I asked for the fringe to be repaired and for a wash. What an amazing job! The colours are so vibrant again and the fringe is much tidier. Hamid does a great job of cleaning your precious rugs without harsh chemicals. He’s very knowledgeable and can offer advice on all types of floor rugs. One of our rugs had faded on the surface and the edges were damaged. When Hamid worked his magic it looked like new! He is absolutely trustworthy, very polite and communicates well about time frames and costs for the work. I can recommend The Rug Guru, unreservedly.

Hamid offered an excellent service, he picked up the rug same day and delivered it back to us. He was able to remove stains and the rug feels softer and better than new! Highly recommended.

Do not hesitate using The Rug Guru! I would highly recommend his services to you and I am very fussy! My light cream silk, bamboo, wool blend rug went to him grubby, very grey where we walk on it and with two large yellowed areas where I had tried to clean the rug myself. There were also tufts of fibre sticking up all over the rug. The Rug Guru, Hamid told me I could hand cut all the tufts off by hand once I got it back as more might come loose due to the cleaning process. I couldn’t be happier with The Rug Guru! My old Persian rug had stubborn stains and some frayed edges, and I honestly didn’t think it could look good again. But they worked their magic—carefully cleaning, repairing, and bringing back its original colors and patterns. The rug looks amazing, and the attention to detail was incredible. The team was professional, friendly, and really knew their craft. I highly recommend them to anyone who cares about their rugs!
