"Lived here for 2 years, been good. Fast maintenance after new manager took over." -previous review from a couple of month ago. My apartment started leaking and flooding in mid July. Did report the problem ASAP. While the maintenance team came and go, now it has been a month, all was done to the ceiling/roof was more holes. I spent a little over a year at the rockland, and unfortunately, I would not reccomend this place to anybody. If you're looking for affordable housing close to KU campus, there are far superior options. The space itself is not wonderful, but not terrible. Everything inside the apartments is gray and lifeless with a horrific laxk of natural lighting, and the amenities are functional and do the job but are not great, and the walls and ceilings are very thin. THE WORST APARTMENT IN LAWRENCE! DO NOT STAY HERE I posting this review off an alias because I know this place might try to retaliate but charging me when I move out I lived here for multiple years and this place genuinely deserves zero stars. I would give zero stars if I could. EVERY APARTMENT IS INFESTED WITH ROACHES. The maintenance takes forever to come. My daughter just gave up on anything working. Her washer and dryer was broken her ac/heat would shut off and they would have to switch the breaker on and off to get it back on until mid July it breaks completely and they put a window unit in her bedroom with masking tape and cardboard over the window. We had to throw all of her things in the always overflowing dumpsters because everything had roaches in it!
absolutely don’t even think about living here. the staff was absolutely awful ESPECIALLY lexi. there were many things in the apartment, that weren’t clean nor fixed before moving in. the maintenance team is slow and doesn’t have any sense of urgency regardless of how many times we call and email. they were also always charging unnecessary fees with no plausible explanation. the people who live there are old and just creepy, even tho it’s supposed to be “student housing.” I’d sue with all of the things said and done.
