We ate there and the service and food were excellent, I had fish and chips and the batter was thin and crisp and my partner had the crispy pork. Good food, good wine and good service

We stayed at the Rix Hotel when passing through Charters Towers and had a great experience. The room was spacious enough and very clean, with super comfortable beds and good quality bedding. The kids loved the bunk beds. The bathroom was recently updated and looked fantastic. Only downside was that the kitchen wasn't open on Monday, which was a bit inconvenient, but overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back when passing through

The meals were great however the noise was ridiculously loud, couldn’t hear each other without talking loud. We were approached by the lady Manager who asked us a question which I told I couldn’t hear what she said because of the music, she leaves turns the music down some then returns and advises us the the locals don’t want others to hear what they are talking about, Seriously everyone is screaming because of the music. Need to be addressed, pleasant meal but unpleasant environment at 6:30pm.
