What a great trip! Lauren and Gray were excellent guides and taught us some great techniques for canoeing on moving water. The St. Vrain offered an excellent learning opportunity for those of us accustomed to flat water. We were able to see some wildlife and have the unique experience of "floating" the river.
What a fun day! I especially appreciated how Lauren coached us to improve our paddling skills. Also got a really good look at eagles!
We thoroughly enjoyed our canoe trip on the St Vrain river. It was both relaxing and exhilarating depending on the strength of the current at the time. We owe so much to our guide, Gray, who was patient, understanding, knowledgeable and instructive on all aspects of the adventure. We loved seeing the osprey, the bald headed eagle and other raptors on the river, and just being immersed in the sound of the rushing water and the music of nature. I will try and keep this short but it's going to be hard considering what an amazing experience we had with Lauren on the St. Vrain. Starting with the phone call inquiring about what she offers Lauren was simply delightful. She's one of those people who loves sharing what she's learned freely and empowering others to experience what she knows is possible.
