We only had one night at River Suites due to a last-minute booking, and our only regret is that we didn’t stay here the whole trip! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the room itself was beautiful — spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. A special highlight was the organic shower products that smelled amazing, adding such a nice touch to the stay. Truly a gem on Kangaroo Island — we can’t wait to come back for a longer visit next time!
I cannot recommend enough this lovely place. The hosts are amazing, the rooms stunning and the view breathtaking. The hosts made sure we had everything we need, gave us tips and information on where to could go and were always approachable on any topic we had. The rooms are newly renovated, clean, stylish and with a stunning view to the sea side. The breakfast was amazing too. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the hospitality. Highly recommend this place. Views to die for in beaufully clean and comfortable rooms. The hosts are warm and welcoming and Lloyd (the dog) is a treat. We would definitely return for another stay.
Travelling with a disability is trying at the best of times. I came to Kangaroo Island via the Limestone Coast on my way to Adelaide. I stayed at several hotels on my way up, in Adelaide and on my way back to Melbourne and none of them came even close to the wonderful experience of The River Suites. A lovely, heart-warming, and hard-working family who has done (and is still doing) so much to make this property what it is today. I don’t have to compare this to other properties as it is unique on its own way. Their strength is the service . Even though I only spent one dinner, one night and one morning, it was enough to fall in love with what they have created as they made me feel at home. Dinner was world-class.
