My wife and her sister threw a party for their parents 55th anniversary here. It was amazing. The food was great the service was great. Isaiah was working the bar i/we kept him busy, he did an outstanding job. Zoe and her team also made the experience top notch! They kept everything going smoothly. It was better than we expected. I also really enjoyed reading the history of Dr Ridley (restaurant named in his honor). I recommend anyone in Charlottesville to check out this amazing establishment! Well to start, I reserved my table through opentable and you got to pick between high top or standard and I chose standard. We got there and they said well we don’t have standard tables anymore they are already reserved (um okay?). It’s honestly embarrassing how long it took them to ask if we would be okay with a booth…like why am I fixing your mistake. The restaurant was nice and the staff was nice. The patio was quite pleasant. Most of the food was good as well. The fried chicken was good. The skirt steak was irregularly cooked. We asked for medium and got instead medium rare to rare. It was also a bit tough. The sides were all pretty good, fries were nice as we're the sweet potatoes. The food was overpriced for the poor quality. Steaks were over cooked and tough, chicken sandwich was bland and the breading slid right off. The outdoor space is beautiful but the food and service were not good. Waited 20 min for drinks. I would pass on this place there are many better restaurants in the area.
Terrific atmosphere, service was excellent and the food was great. Salina, our server was the best! Definitely recommend the Ridley
