My mum visited Dr M Akella regarding a high blood pressure enquiry. Instead of being curious and empathetic, she laughed off my mums concerns, joking about “how do you know this could mean you have stroke? You know not everything on google is not true right?” She was very unprofessional and i hope she does not treat every patient like this. In fact, it turns out that my mum’s concerns were valid after visiting another pharmacy and she was later advised to go to emergency care.
Staff are helpful
Unless you have an endless amount of covid tests at home, don't bother. My kids both go to daycare and they're constantly picking up something which is NEVER covid and even if I was to do a 3 in 1 test 4 days before contacting the doctor, they still refuse to book you in until you're able to provide another covid test from that day. Mind you, my daughter has already been sick for a week with the same symptoms before taking the test, so it definitely wasn't taken too early for proper results. rude and unhelpful doctors
After hunting high and low for a doctor to help my child with something that is affecting his life quite heavily, I was recommended to this practice to see one particular doctor. Spoke with reception who advised it would be a 3-4 week wait because this doctor is so busy. Then my appointment was postponed further due to the doctor being sick.
