Getting your deposit back is tough. My roommates and I left the place in good condition and were told in a move out letter that they "did not expect professional level cleaning, but expect that you try your best." Enclave Property is truly the best in the game. No complaints, peaceful environment. I love my apartment at the retreat. Everything checks out.
Check your lease for hidden fees. For the Retreat lease, see new Section 9 Utilities Services Addendum about paying "your share" of the building overhead - an amount unknown charged to you each month, so don't let them pull rent from your bank account, pay by check. Plus, new rules include: not allowed to use your garage to store personal property (a bike or a shovel or any other personal property, including by definition your vehicle) and not allowed to use your balcony to store a bike or a grill of any kind.
