Just spoke to a representative, her name is Jennifer and I had also spoken to a Star Rogers who is the manager. I did have a payment arrangement with them and because my husband had a stroke, and he is a disabled veteran, jennifer was EXTREMELY RUDE! (They purchase old debts) The called my cell and home phone and would not talk. I called back and was asked to verify my social security number. After a brief Google search I called in and talk to a supervisor. She informed me that an account from years and years ago that had been written/charged off after a long dispute. This company has two sides: a debt collection side (which may or may not be legit but tricks a lot of people into giving up information since most people have defaulted on debt)...the other side is what appears to be an phishing operation. The representatives don't even know they are involved in a scam on the phishing side. It is a pretty good setup keeping your workers in the dark because they are convinced they have a legitimate job and trying to collect information on "bad people" who haven't paid their debt. extrememly rude for starters. If your going to collect a debt your should atleast have accurate documentation. When they send letters out they have no account or reference numbers, just state you owe money, pay now. Took them 52 days to validate a debt that was 10 years old, and it isn't even my debt!
