Ordered lg oxtail plate with peas and rice and cabbage for 23.99. Sides were decent; however; oxtails were very very small. Flavor was there but for the price definitely not worth it. I had about 6 pieces of oxtail and all together still didn't equate one nice size oxtail. Also ordered a sm jerk chicken plate with same sides for 12.99. Again flavor was there but portion size was not worth the price I paid.
Always good tasting food. Prone to sell out of Jerk Chicken and slow, so plan ahead.
The Reggae Grill was a nice change when we were in the mood for Jamaican food. The oxtail was tender and came with a flavorful gravy that went well with the rice and peas. The cabbage had a little crunch, and the fried plantains added some sweetness to the plate. The portions were filling without being excessive. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. I liked the homemade feel of the meal.
Meisha was amazing and so was the food! Can't wait to come back to get the rasta pasta with oxtail!
