Worked in the field for three years after graduation. The training led to my present job working at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Rail Road. I work in the signal dept. Trouble shooting, repairing, and installing many different types of electrical circuits, A/C, D/C, A/C overlays etc. The trouble shooting of air conditioning circuits was the reason I have this job now. What you put into your schooling is what your going to get out of it. Half ass measures net half ass results. Thanks RSI.
I started from just always having an interest in the field, no prior hvac experience, besides fiddling with a thermostat or a unit here and there. Nothing major at all. What RSI did was taught me from the ground up was, the complete workings of HVAC and mechanical trouble shooting in a way that not only is detrimental but with relevance to being able to be not only just becoming successful but a darn good refrigeration tec as well. The knowledge is only as good as what you decide to do with it. Well worth it very insightful... except the solar course highly do not recommend. If you're a serious solar enthusiast seek training elsewhere. However refrigeration along with core electrical skills knowledge is excellent!
They get you through all the classes (even if you miss) to get their money then tell you, you have all these hours to make up. They are all about money.
