Carly is an amazing person both personally and professionally. She is the executive director for the Rawling and is always trying to find things to make the residents smile. She is very creative too! For example, we were invited to an Easter egg hunt and they rented a cotton candy machine. The residents don’t get to see kids hunt for eggs much anymore and their faces filled with joy! Was going for a 4.5 but will round up as that’s more appropriate for this very special Memory Care Community than rounding down! As a tenured long-term care administrator, certified dementia practitioner, certified elder care coordinator, local Hospice Chaplain, and most importantly of all, Daughter of two late parents who lived with dementia, and sister/POA for older sister who lived with early onset Alzheimer’s…. The Rawlin at Riverbend did a great job of taking care of my dad. He stayed there about a year until he passed away at almost 95. The Rawlin had my dad on a regular diabetic diet where he was able to stop taking insulin. His health actually improved during the last year of his life. He even stopped “sundowning” during his time there. The staff genuinely cared about my dad. I would highly recommend this place for anyone requiring memory care.
We had to make the difficult decision to put our Mom in a facility. I toured places for 2 days and decided on the Rawlin! We love the staff and the building. They always keep us updated on anything going on with her. They take our calls without hesitation. My brother lives out of town and gets updates anytime. This place is the best decision! We know she’s taken care of and safe.
The staff at Rawlin from the management to care staff have been amazing! My mother is not always a happy individual as she progresses through her disease. Rawlin's staff are so patient and caring with her. She is so well cared for, they way you would care for then yourself!
