Went for lunch. Great food smash burger was excellent, the onion rings too! Gentleman servi g us was pleasant and efficient. Wonderful experience
Our bartender Marcus was friendly, attentive, and composed even while busy. When we visited he had only been working there for 3 weeks but we never would have guessed. He talked highly of the restaurant and let us try samples of their seasonal cocktails. We'd absolutely be back on our next trip to Charleston just for Marcus!
I was in Charleston overnight and didn’t have time to go to a restaurant for a sit down meal, so I decided to get take out from The Rarebit. I ordered the catfish Poboy, which was excellent, and French fries, which were awful. They were limp and greasy. The poboy gets a four, but the fries get a zero.
This place has such good juju it just feels like home when you walk in. Cozy ambiance and warm lighting and late afternoon sun in the windows, excellent food and the best wait staff around. Chill vibes, down to earth folks. Good prices, good music. This place is truly like your favorite sweatshirt in the fall. It wraps you in comfort like a warm hug from a friend. Just go! Came in for lunch and got our food within 10 minutes of ordering! Best Mules around!
