The Rarebit is a swank new entry into King Street's assortment of nightlife, providing a retro bar space and a small but tasty menu of Southern-tinged plates. Classic cocktails are the main milieu of Rarebit, hand-muddling and juicing each morning in order to create fantastic iterations of Manhattans, Sazeracs, Side Cars and more. While the cocktails are the primary focus, the selection of tasty American standards is sure to please anybody in need of a quick bite or a more substantial meal, like the pecan crusted catfish or ... read more

We had breakfast here with a group of friends and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals — from the chicken and waffles to the breakfast sandwich, everything was fresh and flavorful. It’s a great spot to start the day in Charleston. Highly recommend!
The place is great as well as the service, the food is just okay for the price. I ordered a patty melt and mac n cheese, but they were pretty bland and looked like a $5 meal
This was a great place for an early dinner with a large group of 16. We did need to be seated at separate tables, but they were able to get us all seated next to each other. The staff was very nice and accommodating especially considering the walk in large group we showed up with!
The Rarebit was the highlight of my trip to Charleston. I loved the relaxed atmosphere paired with a polished, upscale aesthetic. The chef knows what he is doing, and the service was excellent. Richard, the owner, was behind the bar and made the experience feel personal and welcoming. It's the perfect spot if you're looking for a great cocktail (MOSCOW MULE) and something like breakfast for dinner. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Charleston.
